MLB regular season is the most anticipated event on the Baseball calendar. Every regular season comprises of 162 games but the number of these games is occasionally increased if a tiebreaker is required at some point. Each MLB regular season usually kicks off in the month of April on its first Sunday, and goes all the way to the first Sunday in the month of October. Following the regular season there comes the post season which determines the league champions that go on to compete in the World Title Series.
Before the initiation of the Regular season, the Spring Training season is also held. And as the name suggests, Spring Training is a series of training or warm up games that are played by all the teams in the MLB. Spring Training Series has been getting fair amount of attention for past few decades, which is why it has taken a more organized form of a series. The increasing viewership is mainly because of the pleasant weather conditions during that time of the year and spring vacations.
Amidst the regular season, MLB also hosts a Major League Baseball All Star Game which features notable players from different teams that are either picked by the jury or through the votes of the fans. The first ever MLB All Star game was held back in 1933 and following the great success that it enjoyed it became an annual event.
