The three collaborated with Accardi and formed their own band in 2000.
 
The band changed its style of music regarding it as a change from what they produced when they were younger. The band’s earlier exposure came by opening for some big bands like Midtown and Glassjaw during which time they released a demo with dour songs. Not much time had passed when they signed a record deal with Triple Crown Records and released their first studio album in 2001 with the title, your favorite Weapon. The album did a moderate business and brought tours for the band.
 
The second studio album of the band came out in 2003 titled Deja Entendu, French for “already heard”. The album did a better business then the previous one, topped the Billboard 200 and was awarded Gold by the RIAA. The success of the band increased the touring of the band and Brand new performed with bands like Dashboard Confessional, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte and Flogging Molly. Their 2004 concert in UK sold out completely.
 
With so much success, Brand New was the talk and demand of every recording company and after some bidding wars, the band signed up with Interscope Records. The next album of the band under the new label was titled, The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. The albums had singles like, “Sowing Season”, “Jesus Christ” and “Fork and Knife”. The next studio album of Brand New was released in 2009 and was titled Daisy. The album moved up from its previous position and charted at number 6 on the Billboard 200.
 
The band performed at the Glastonbury Festival and Reading and Leeds Festival in 2009 while working on their new album which was released in the same year with the title Daisy. This new album did a good business and the band made a jump on the Billboard 200 chart from number 31 to number six. In 2010, Brand New performed in front of a crowd of more than 12,000 people which was their biggest to the date. The band was accompanied by the bands, Glassjaw and Thrice in this concert.  
 
All this time, the band continued touring and rocking their fans.
