He has played the role of Eddie in the Barbershop movies and also appeared in Madagascar and Spike Lee’s movie The Original Kings of Comedy. Cedric has also co-starred in a WB sitcom, The Steve Harvey Show.
 
Coming from a reasonably stable background, Cedric majored in Mass Communications from Southeast Missouri State University and decided to pursue a full-time career as a comedian.
