Delbert McClinton relocated to Los Angeles and joined hands with another seasoned musician Glen Clark to make music that was a mix of Soul music and Country. New West Records in 2003 issued Delbert McClinton Live this was primarily a compilation of the songs which he sung throughout his career. Cost of Living earned McClinton a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. To support the career of independent talented artists McClinton was a judge for the 4th annual Independent Music Awards.
