It won’t be an exaggeration to call seventy eight year old Ian Tyson, “legendary”. This Canadian songwriter and singer, very well-known for the song Four Strong Winds started his career in 1959. He started off his career with Sylvia as a folk duo band, based in Toronto. In his teens up to the early twenties, he was a rodeo rider, got into an accident and while he was recovering from his injury got interested in music. He holds his fellow country singer named Wilf Carter as his musical influence. In 1956, he sang for the first time and played in a rock n roll music band called “The Sensational Stripes” in a Café in Vancouver.
