The song reached the thirty seventh spot on the illustrious Billboard Hot 100 charts. It was also dubbed as one of the most successful hits by a band currently signed onto a Christian label. The album went on to be certified as multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Their next album; Much Afraid, was released in 1997 and won a Grammy Award for the best Contemporary Gospel album and was also certified as platinum. They won another Grammy Award with their following album; if I Left the Zoo, which was released in 1999. The band has, since then, released seven more successful albums to date and their popularity around the globe has multiplied with the release of each single album.
