Martina McBride with the birth name Martina Mariea Schiff was born on July 29 in 1966 in Sharon, Kansas, United States. Her husband worked as a concert production manager for Garth Brooks and this brought her a chance to do an opening act on Garth Brook's 1992 tour.
Her first studio album was released in the year 1992 with the title 'The Time Has Come' and did well while the title track of the album gained a 23rd position on the charts. Her second album was released in 1993 with the title 'The Way That I Am' and three tracks of the album gained good positions on the Billboard Country Charts ; 'My Baby Loves Me', 'Life' and 'Independence Day'. The 'Independence Day' video won the 'Video of the Year' award by the Country Music Association Awards. In 1995 Martina McBride released her third album with the title 'Wild Angels' and the title track of the album became her first number 1 hit in 1996.
Martina released her fourth album titled as 'Evolution' in the year 1997 and this album was claimed to be her break through album reaching number 4 on Top Country Albums Chart. The single 'Valentine' from the album reached number 3 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Charts. The album had five hit singles and the album was certified as double platinum in sales by Recording Industry Association of America. After the release of this album she 'won the 'Female Vocalist of the Year' award by the Country Music Association Awards. In the spring of 2008 she released a CD/DVD set 'Martina McBride: Live In Concert'. Her latest album 'Shine' was released on 24th March, 2009 by RCA Records and also gained top position at U.S. Country album chart and came on 10th position on Billboard 200.
