The Boston College Eagles, while contending in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) this year, are striving hard to secure as many spots in the various playoffs as possible. These young college students are already among the top intercollegiate teams, and are once again all charged for all the different sporting matchups for this season. The Boston College Eagles Tickets are on sale now, so the fans can grab their pick now!

All the different athletic teams that represent the Boston College (BC), located in the Chestnut Hill village, Massachusetts, are known as the Boston College Eagles collectively. It is a private Catholic Jesuit research university with an extensive athletic program, offering 12 men's and 15 women's varsity sports. All these teams compete at the NCAA Division I level as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). However, both the men's and the women's ice hockey teams contend in Hockey East; whereas, skiing, sailing, and fencing also do not belong to the ACC. Boston College is one of the very few universities in the country that offer Division I men's and women's basketball, NCAA Division I football (Football Bowl Subdivision), and Division I hockey. In addition, the alma mater is ranked at #6 in the entire nation, in terms of Division I student-athlete graduation rates, as its football Eagles have been placed among the country's highest graduation rates of any Division I-A program. The institute has also received Public Recognition Awards with 14.

The first director of these varsity teams was Joseph Meagher, whereas, as of 1997, the athletic director of the Boston College Eagles has been Gene DiFillippo. The colors of these teams are maroon and gold and their mascot is Baldwin the Eagle, which is an American bald eagle, having its name derived by the bald head of the eagle and also by the word 'win'. The fight song of the Boston College Eagles is For Boston, and it had been composed by T.J. Hurley, who belonged to the Class of 1885. It is the oldest college fight song in America.

Out of all the various varsity teams of Boston College, the most popular ones are the football Eagles and the basketball Eagles. Tickets to the matchups of these two sports have always been in great demand by its huge number of fans. Thus, when the Boston College Eagles Tickets become available in the market, they are quickly sold-out! Especially, the football Eagles are not only popular in the entire New England, but also country wide. This is because, over the years, the Eagles have gained a national prominence by giving their best in each match. These teams have always featured the best players, such as the top-quality NFL player Doug Flutie Hail Mary.

Other than comprising its 31 varsity teams, the BC athletic department also sponsors 59 intramural, club, and recreational sports. Most of these are housed in the University's Silvio O. Conte Forum, which is an up to date athletic and convocation center.
