Colorado Buffaloes is a college football team and is a part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Buffaloes, or as they are commonly known, Buffs, is the college football team of the University of Colorado at Boulder. The team is the member of the Big 12 Conference and plays in the Division 1 of the NCAA. Buffaloes plays their home games at the Folsom Field which has the capacity to seat more then 50,000 people and the song called "Fight CU" is played as the fight song of the Buffaloes and is played by the Golden Buffalo Marching Band. The team mascot is called "Ralphie" and the team wears the uniform with the colors silver and gold in it which is also the colors of the team logo.
Buffaloes played their first game in 1890 and currently Dan Hawkins coaches the team. The biggest rivals of the buffaloes are the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Colorado State Rams and the games with these teams are especially exciting. The Buffaloes have won one national title, in 1990 and twenty six Conference Titles and also the team has produced one Heisman winner in 1994. Buffaloes have also played in several bowl games like Orange Bowl, Liberty Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Aloha Bowl and Bluebonnet Bowl.
Buffaloes have produced many talented football players who have brought pride to their team and the association and to themselves and for that they got many awards like Draddy Trophy, Ray Guy Award, John Mackey Award, Jim Thorpe Award, Walter Camp Award, Doak Walker Award and Dick Butkus Award. Several players of the Buffaloes got inducted in the Hall of fame namely, Bobby Anderson, Dick Anderson, Joe Romig and Byron White.
