The team’s defensemen are Zack Pittman, Vinny Muto, Zach Frye Charlie Donlin, Mike Mckee and Justin Woods. The Star’s two goalies are Jackson Teichrob and Michael Blitzer. Many of the team’s former players have achieved widespread acclaim in their own regard for overtime goals in the NCAA Championship Game. These players include Josh Langfield – who scored the winning goal in a Boston College vs. University of Michigan game – and Colby Cohen, who scored a similar goal in a game between Miami University and Boston University. Other luminaries have includes Evan Rankin, David Backes, Brandon Bochenski and Erik Condra.
Over the course of their relatively short existence, the Lincoln Stars have cemented a respectable place in the history of American junior ice hockey as well as in the hearts of fans all across the country. The team has been a trail-blazer since the very start of its career and has been the starting point for many of the best players in the NHL today.
