Terps Football team played its first season back in 1892, and ever since its inception the team has rightfully earned 2 Southern Conference Championships, Nine Atlantic Coast Conference Championships and one National Championship Title. Several other notable achievements on their part include numerous Bowl Appearances and also the fact that the team is ranked 3rd when it comes to the list of all those College Football teams that have won the most amount of ACC Championships. Led by the head coach Ralph Friedgen, Terrapins play their home games at the Byrd Stadium ever since 1950.
