Art Savage was the major owner of this remarkable team right up till his untimely demise at the age of 58 in on the 21^st of November in the year of 2009. After his death, his widow by the name of Susan Savage ultimately became the major owner of the team upon Art Savage’s death.

The River Cats former name was Vancouver Canadian from 1978 until 1999. The teams’ former home stadium was the Nat Bailey Stadium and now is the Raley Field. The owner of the River Cats minor baseball team is Susan Savage. The manager of the team is Darren Bush and the general manager of the team if Jeff Savage.
