The St. James Theatre run of the musical was expected to kick off on November 9, but it only ran from November 23 to 25 for a total of 11 performances.

In the year 2008 the first national touring production of the musical was launched. The tour ran all the way through the Christmas season of the year 2008. The tour kicked off with the performances in Baltimore at the Hippodrome and from there it went to Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre.

The most recent production of the musical kicked off in Hollywood on November 10, 2009 at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Starring Stefan Karl Stefansson as the Grinch and John Larroquette as Old Max, the Hollywood production of the musical came to an end on December 27, 2009. Presently the musical is still running in San Diego and in Vancouver.
