Jesus Christ Superstar Tickets
Jesus Christ Superstar is a title of musical by Andrew Webber and Tim Rice. The show is in fact a rock opera, which is turned into a musical show, which highlights the political and interpersonal struggles of Judas Iscariot and Jesus. The rock opera has its basis on the Gospel of St John, dealing with the last week of the life of Jesus Christ.
The musical starts with the different kinds of preparations, being made for Jesus' and his followers, when they are about to arrive in Jerusalem, with the end result of Crucification. The show exhibits the general social and political trends in the psyche of the performers, and the contemporary style of language and of the sensitivities is also presented in great details. The situations and the lyrics of the musical are true representatives of the dispersion of thoughts, mainly caused by the world wars, and the after effects on human nature and societies. The musical was later adapted for the big screen presentation too.
It is interesting to find out a totally different side of the whole narration. The plot of the musical is basically in connection with the psyche of Judas, who is presented in the form of a person with lots of tragedy. Judas is seen to by in dissatisfaction with the miscalculated planning, and off course the recent claim of divinity. He is suffering with the sore belief that the Jews will face defeat against Romans, only due to the ideas and views of Jesus.
The show always stars with the monologue, along with the music. Judas is concerned about Jesus, but he does not like his claims and feels sorry for the whole situation. He refers to Jesus as 'king'. He does not believe in the entire prophet hood and considers Jesus, as same like other men. He expresses his concern over the movement, prevailing in the streets of the town, and he feels sorry for the followers of Jesus, as he thinks that they will face the results too.
It is also highlighted in the play that the suggestions of Judas are completely ignored by Jesus and his followers. They have already formed their own minds, and are determined to reach out for Jerusalem. Here Jesus tells his followers to not to worry about the future, as it is already predetermined by God. Here comes the role of semi fictional character, named Mary Magdalene, who wants to console Jesus, as she thinks that he is not feeling well due to his followers' badgering. Judas is also concerned over the relationship of Jesus with Mary, whom he finds very inappropriate member of that community. There are scenes, added for the later adaptation of the musical for the big screen. It is of utmost importance that the Jesus Christ Superstars tickets are always sold in advance, due to its high demand by spectators.
