With trivial changes in the musical score and the original screenplay, South Pacific made its 2001 London Revival Tour performing at the Royal National Theatre from December 2001 to April 2002. On April 26, 2006 the PBS Network telecasted the concert version of the musical which further made it an unforgettable performance. It was one of those nights when cynicism didn't stand a chance."

In 2008, South Pacific opened with its first Broadway Revival at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theatre on April 3.
