Stomp Tickets In Detail
STOMP tickets are the gateway to understanding the world of realism and fantasy on stage. A perfect combination of loud music and exaggerated movements to let you clap, whistle, wink, stomp in perfect harmony with the characters on stage. An interactive theatre that will make you feel belonged to the whole concept of theatre and entertainment!
"Stomp" was originated in Brighton, United Kingdom. Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas performed in the Assembly Rooms of Edinburgh, Scotland and enjoyed the standing ovation for the unusual display of showmanship. The show got so popular that it made its way across the oceans, all the way to New York City's Orpheum Theatre. It attracts audience from all over the United States who are eager to see this critically acclaimed upbeat performance.
The two founding members of the STOMP met in 1981 as members of the street band Pookiesnackenburger and throughout the 80s they put together series of street comedy theatres and musicals at Edinburgh Festival. From the town of Edinburgh, the group started its career in performing arts and toured whole of England and Europe extensively.
Luke Careswell made his name as a musical director between 1987 to 1990, when he staged four large scale events including the all so famous "Beat the Clyde", which featured floating drum orchestra in Glasgow. Another such work of performing art was a 120 piece drum orchestra which played at Brighton Festival Chorus. In 1991, after performing in the Assembly Rooms, STOMP was named as the "Critic's Choice" by the Guardian. From then on STOMP has been playing for audience from around the globe; from United Kingdom to Australia, from China to Spain!
Stomp is an amusing work of performing arts which brings out a child residing deep in our souls. STOMP awakes our inner child up to enjoy the fascinating & strange noises. It satisfies our childhood curiosity of playing with mommy's kitchen utensils. Finding wonders in objects of daily use, STOMP speaks in a universal language communicating to hundreds and thousands of people from various cultures around the world. It is an amazing experience seeing the artists making use of simple objects to produce sound and presenting it in the most synchronized and melodious way.
With unique combination of movement, visual comedy and percussions, STOMP is no doubt a labor of love for performing arts. Make sure to get some of the best seats in the house with your Stomp tickets to enjoy the sound of percussion instruments made out of the most unusual everyday objects i.e. spoons, pans, brooms, Zippo lighter, basketballs and may be a kitchen sink strumming in perfect harmony with clever visual comedy. The show is a perfect blend of sounds and movement that brings the whole theatre to life!
STOMP is perfect for any sort of audience. The performers create fantastic beats and rhythms, making use of all kinds of props including matches, tins, and plates, buckets of water, glasses and sticks. Utilizing all the unusual percussion instruments they come up with the unique sound merging with stomping clapping, swishing, tapping, bashing even burping together to make the whole experience an auditory sensation.
STOMP's music is different from all the mainstream genres of music. A perfect use of strange instruments produces the rhythms and beats that cannot be heard in the music aired on routine radio and television. Another attractive aspect of the performance is its interactive nature. The performers of STOMP encourage active participation of the audience throughout the show sometimes even instructing them to clap in accordance with the rhythms produced onstage. In full synchronization, with the music created on stage, is the perfectly choreographed dance moves.
So are you ready to stomp your feet with the STOMP now? Remember, if you happen to sit in the front, be sure to take along your poncho; some acts involve water noise and the water tends to make its way into the audience. Book your STOMP tickets now to join in an evening of fun and excitement.
