The electronic age of today seeks to completely grip us in numerous modes of visual media delivered via wireless devices, computers, personal and public LCD screens. However, even before the advent of television networks, the only portal for ordinary people to view video was by paying a visit to the nearest cinema, or Movie Palace as they were called in their early years. The Stanley Theater was one such venue and has been serving the community of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for a century through its various reincarnations, the latest one being that of the Benedum Center.
