Wang Center for the Performing Arts, also known as Citi Performing Arts Center, is at the heart of entertainment and performing arts scene of Boston, Massachusetts. The Center is a National Historic Landmark site and comprises of Shubert Theatre and the Wang Theatre.
 
Opened in 1925 as the Metropolitan Theatre, The Wang Theatre was designed by Clarence Blackall and C. Howard Crane; and constructed by Max Shoolman. With a seating capacity of more than 3,600, the venue was a movie theatre and a music hall for bands and musicals. The theatre was viewed as the most significant landmark of Boston at that time.
