Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard, situated at Bridgeport, Connecticut is a venue for various events. It was launched in October of 2001 on a budget of nearly 75 million dollars. On its opening, it was named “The Arena at Harbor Yard” before undergoing the change to have the name it does today. The arena can seat as much as 10,000 people, not counting the standing concert areas. It is located right next to the “Ballpark at Harbor Yard”. Right now, the venue is under the management of two corporations, “Centerpalte” and “Bridgeport Sound Tigers”. More recently, the arena management has reached an agreement worth 3.5 million dollar with the Bridgeport city to have the naming rights. That way, it could well become the city’s signature arena, prompting more artists to book it as their performance venue and subsequently selling more Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard tickets.
The arena has been divided to cater to every kind of buyer. People who prefer luxury boxes can choose to buy Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard tickets for one of their executive suites; there are 33 in total. There are also 3 hospitality suites and these are the biggest seating arrangements in the entire venue. Other than that are club seats which are about 1300 in total. In front of the seats is a large concourse for concert spectators who like to enjoy the music standing up. At present, the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard is being sponsored and partnered by the Coca-Cola Company, Sleepy’s and the “National Guard” corporation.

The first ever event was organized right on the opening day; it was a hockey game played by the “Bridgeport Sound Tigers”. Following the success of the first few events, Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard became a popular venue amongst artists and performers. By 2010, they had hosted their 1000th show which ended up being a basketball match by the “Fairfield Stag” team.
Statistics have calculated that around 500,000 Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard tickets are sold each year. Amongst music, sports, entertainment and trade events and other spectaculars are also the “World Wrestling Entertainment” matches that are scheduled from time to time. At present, the arena is the home base of the local hockey team, “Bridgeport Sound Tigers” who are affiliates of the “American Hockey League”. Moreover, college basketball games are also organized here during the spring and summer. New Year’s games and the 4th of July matches are also traditional for the venue.
The arena also hosted the historical “Moving America Forward Rally” led by President Obama himself. Amongst the big events this year is a concert by Carrie Underwood, and an event organized by the WWE.
